Artistic food photography! Not a project I was initially planning to do, but it turned out to be a lot more fun to do than I anticipated.

The studio setup for this was relatively easy. I had the white roll-down paper in the background, and used a spare roll of white paper over a short table I found in the studio. This resulted in a very plain but elegant background – very classy. Sometimes, when I needed to spill the food on the table (but I still wanted to eat it later), I would take a large clean sheet of paper and lay it on top of the sheet-covered table, for extra precaution. I set lights up on either end of the table. On the left side, I had a video light set up (the other strobes were being difficult) about 3 feet away from the table, and on the right side I had a strobe light with an octagon-shaped softbox – 3 feet away too.
